School Break Camps
When school is closed, Social City is open! Our school break camps provide a fun, structured and supportive environment where children build friendships, practice social skills, and enjoy engaging activities during school holidays!
Who are camps for?
School Break Social Skills Camps are available for children ages 4-9 and grouped accordingly.
Where do camps take place?
We offer camps at two locations: Brooklyn at 337 Smith Street (Kumon space), and the Upper West Side at 3 West 95th Street.
How are camps structured?
Each camp will target a variety of social skills topics through explicit (i.e. direct instruction, modeling, role-playing, etc.) and embedded (i.e. integrated into collaborative activities and interactive games) instruction. Topics include initiating conversation, reading and responding to non-verbal language cues, active listening, flexibility, self-confidence, etc. within naturally occurring situations.
Check out a sample schedule.
